Below is the suggested Equipment List for your Tunisian Camel Safari:

  • Soft, Shower Proof Duffel type bag
  • Daybag for items you need to access quickly, ie sunscreen, mineral water, camera (this will be in front of you on the camel).
  • Sleeping Bag – synthetic – dries out quicker.
  • Bivvy Bag – to keep you and/or your luggage dry in the event of rain/heavy dew.
  • Mat to go under sleeping bag – optional. (Mattresses and blankets are provided)
  • Waterproof jacket with hood, and waterproof trousers.
  • Scarf and/or packable hat to keep out sun (combination of both recommended).
  • Cotton gloves to protect hands from sun when riding.
  • Warm Fleece.
  • Track suit bottoms.
  • Loose fitting cotton trousers, combat style with pockets are good.
  • Lightweight tights or leggings to wear under trousers if you get saddle sore.
  • Loose fitting shirts. 
  • T shirts for layering.
  • 1 Sweater.
  • 1 Warm set of underwear such as Merino Wool ice breaker – can be cold at night.
  • Ordinary underwear – cotton.
  • Sarong, which can also be used as a towel.
  • Sturdy, but comfortable leather or canvas shoes/boots.
  • Socks, knee high preferable, so that trousers can be tucked in when riding.
  • Beanie hat for if it gets cold at night.
  • Flip flops.
  • Swimming togs for Hotel Pools!
  • Sandproof covering/cases for your mobile phone and camera.
  • Sun screen 
  • Pain Killers
  • Wet Ones/Wipes 
  • Travel Tissues/Loo Paper
  • Knicker Liners
  • Johnsons Baby Powder, to combat saddle soreness
  • Insect Repellent
  • Cream for insect bites/stings
  • Imodium 
  • TORCH + spare batteries
  • First Aid Kit 
  • NB There are no loos in the desert, but bushes and sand dunes do provide a degree of privacy!
